“Current Federal and State Legislation in Suicide Prevention” was presented on Monday, July 27, 2009, from 3:30-4:30pm Eastern Time. The webinar was co-hosted by SPAN USA, a division of AFSP, and SPRC.

This is the second in a series of two webinars designed to build state and local leaders’ capacity to sustain programs and stay abreast of national and state policy advancements in 2009.  The July 27 webinar will focused on the current federal suicide prevention policy landscape and bills in state legislatures that have become law.  The webinar will be presented by SPAN USA/AFSP staff: Brian Altman, Director of Public Policy and Program Development, will provided insight on federal legislation, while Jason H. Padgett, Director of Community and Grassroots Outreach, will discussed bills that have become law at the state level.
