Formerly known as the National Awareness Event (NAE), the name of SPAN USA's annual event has been modified to enhance the mission of SPAN USA. As in 2002 when the organization's name was changed from an advocacy focus to an action focus, this event has a stronger focus on taking action to prevent suicide.
